Comedian Aries Spears finally breaks his silence on controversy surrounding him and Tiffany Haddish in an alleged sexual abuse incident involving two minors.

In a recent looming accusation, two unnamed minors filed a suit against comedians Aries Spears and Tiffany Haddish, claiming that they allegedly instigated sexual abuse videos in 2013 and 2014, separately.

Tiffany Haddish recently spoke out about the sexual abuse allegations in an Instagram post two days ago and expressed that she could not go into much detail considering the ongoing legal case. While Haddish acknowledged the issue, her attorney referred to the claims as "meritless" and "bogus" in a previous statement.

Following her statement, Aries Spears finally addresses the claims during a preview of his podcast, "Spears & Steinberg". The comedian shared his gratitude for his fans and implied that the accusations were an attempt at extortion against him and Haddish.

"But I just, more or less, want to say to all the loyal listeners, thank you guys for your support and for your love. Listen, this is an extortion case, this is a shakedown. We won't be shaken down." Spears stated.

Attorney Echoes 'Shakedown' Sentiments

Referencing Spear's lawyer, he notably calls the allegations against them as a "shakedown". The comedian's lawyer, Atty. Debra Opri, told CNN that the complainant's adult mother had been pushing this narrative toward Haddish for years.

"Every attorney who has initially taken on her case," the attorney stated, referring to the complainant's case, "and there were several -- ultimately dropped the matter once it became clear that the claims were meritless and Ms. Haddish would not be shaken down". Atty. Debra Opri stated.

Allegations Against Haddish and Spears

Haddish and Spears were sued by unnamed male and female complainants. According to the allegations, Tiffany allegedly told one of the minors that they would help them land a role in Nickelodeon during a comedy camp in 2013, where Haddish was a guest speaker. The complainant's mother stated that the two instigated the two minor's participation in sexually suggestive videos.

According to the suit, the boy was only 7 years old and the girl was 14 years old during the time of their alleged sexual abuse. The name of the complainant's mother was mentioned in the suit, which also included photos of the sexually suggestive video.
