British actor Jason Statham stars in the action thriller "Safe" by Lionsgate which hits theaters today.

Stathan, who has starred in several movies directed by Guy Ritchie including "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels," and "Snatch," stars as Luke Wright, a second-rate cage fighter in New York City, that protects a 12-year-old Chinese girl from the Russian mafia.

Fox Searchlight's drama thriller "Sound of My Voice" is the chilling story of a young Silver Lake couple that delve into the underworld of a cult.

The cult is lead by Maggie, a young obsessive woman who never leaves her basement chamber. Peter and Lorna smuggle hidden cameras into Maggie's basement, bent on exposing her as a charlatan and freeing the members from her spell. But when they themselves fall prey to Maggie's mind games all bets are off.

Also in theaters is "The Raven," a dark-gothic thriller starring John Cusack, that tells the story of late author Edgar Allan Poe as he teams with a detective to capture a serial killer that kidnapped his love. The film marks Cusack's return to more serious characters.

Universal Pictures' romantic comedy "The Five Year Engagement" looks at what happens when an engagement couple keeps tripped up on the long walk down the aisle.

The R-rated comedy stars Jason Segel and Emily Blunt as the engaged couple.

The comedy "Bernie" starring Jack Black and Matthew McConaughey will also be showing today. Its a story about "Bernie," (Black) a lovely and kind assistant funeral director that manages the banking affairs of a widow that was reportedly dead. People in his town are surprised that he is being charged with her murder.

The animation film "The Pirates! Band of Misfits" starring Hugh Grant as Pirate Captain and Salma Hayek as Cutlass Liz is also debuting today.

The Sony Pictures' adventure movie tells the story of the quest of Pirate Captain to gain the "Pirate Of The Year Award."
