Social media star Alix Earle broke down in tears after seeing her ex-boyfriend Braxton Berrios for the first time since their split, sharing the emotional moment with fans on TikTok.

The 25-year-old influencer posted a video on March 1 of herself sobbing after a fan compared her recent experience to a song by Taylor Swift.

The comment referenced Swift's 2017 track New Year's Day, which includes the lyric: "Please don't ever become a stranger / Whose laugh I could recognize anywhere."

According to Page Six, Earle said she had not heard the song before but looked it up after reading the comment. "I didn't know that song and then I just looked it up and guys, what the H?" she said through tears. "I'm literally purple from crying."

The emotional reaction came days after Earle shared that she and Berrios were in the same place during an event in Aspen, Colorado.

Both attended the Palm Tree Music Festival and a pre-party at Kemo Sabe hosted by SipMARGS, a beverage brand they are both investors in.

Alix Earle Shares Honest Emotions

In a February 25 TikTok, Earle admitted the reunion was painful. "It was honestly just really hard for me — really weird, really hard," she said.

"We were in the same place, but we didn't say hi to each other." She explained that they later greeted each other briefly the second night, People reported.

"It's weird when you go from someone being, like, your best friend to being a stranger in the corner of the room," she added. "So that was tough — and by tough I mean, terrible."

Earle and Berrios dated for two years before ending their relationship in December 2025. At the time, sources said the breakup was mutual and caused by distance. Berrios' NFL schedule and Earle's growing career kept them apart.

Since the split, Earle has been open about her feelings online. In past videos, she shared that being alone has been hard for her. She admitted she is trying to grow and become more comfortable without a partner.

Text over her latest tearful video read, "Alix Earle hasn't been posting much. Probably bc this is me spiraling every night." It was raw and honest, the kind of moment many young fans say they relate to.
