Los Angeles Laker Pau Gasol shaved his beard for the first time in 9 years.

In a 9-second video uploaded to Youtube, the NBA player described the transition as "mission accomplished."

"After nine years, I finally shaved. Only for the Gasol nation," Pau said.

The Laker and his brother Marc Gasol have the 'Gasol Foundation' together. This past summer, Pau and Marc each had a team of devised of children that they worked with to get active and healthy, which was called The Healthy Competition.

Nike Fuel Bands were given to the children and the coach whose team burned the less fuel had to shave their beard, Well, Marc's team in Memphis won, forcing Pau to take his hair off his face.

On Thursday, Pau tweeted the video, asking fans to weigh in on their opinion.

"Done! What do you think? It's been 9 years since I shaved!!! #GasolFoundation @GasolFoundation," he wrote.

Fans chimed in and tweeted their responses.

"@paugasol @GasolFoundation Awesome! How long are you going to keep that look?" one user wrote.

The video on YouTube was viewed by over 36,000 people.

Pau isn't the only basketball player who has shaved during the NBA's off-season.

During LeBron James' recent "Witness History," tour in the Philippines, the Miami Heat superstar cut his hair to a low cut caesar.

The reigning MVP has been repeatedly laughed at about his hair line because his hairline has been receding.

The nine-time All-Star has always worn a headband during games and has been joked on by TNT analysts, including Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley.
