The first, extended preview clip for Thor: The Dark World has been released, just a little more than a month before the movie hits theaters.

The footage expands on a scene shown in most trailers for the film, where Thor (Chris Hemsworth) asks his imprisoned brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) for help in the fight against the Malekith (Christopher Eccleston) and his Dark Elves.

"You must be truly desperate to come to me for help," Loki says after Thor promises him that if he helps fight, he will be freed from his cell, which he has been in for the last year since his great attack on New York in The Avengers. "What makes you think you can trust me?"

Thor sets the record straight by making sure Loki understands that any help he gives will be watched closely, and that betraying his brother again would have much more severe consequences than being locked up.

"When we fought each other in the past, I did so with the glimmer of hope that my brother was still in there somewhere. That hope no longer exists to protect you. You betray me, and I will kill you," Thor says.

The film also stars Natalie Portman, who will reprise her role as Jane, as well as Stellan Skarsgard, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings and Ray Stevenson.

Thor: The Dark World releases in theaters nationwide on Nov. 8.
