Chris Hemsworth stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday to show off his superhero strength.

The Australian actor plays the title character in Marvel's Thor: The Dark World. Teaming up once more with Tom Hiddleston's Loki, Hemsworth's Thor is tasked with keeping the creatures of Asgard and Norse mythology in check.

Currently filming Heart of the Sea, Hemsworth is a little leaner than the God of Thunder, but a 500-600 calorie a day diet will do that to you. Also sporting a busted hand due to a jiu-jitsu mishap, the actor had his work cut out for him when Kimmel pulled out a high-striker strongman carnival game.

Competing against Kimmel and Hollywood Boulevard's Spider-Man and Captain America, Hemsworth still managed to easily defeat his opponents and strike the bell with the help of his trusty hammer.

While Hemsworth may be able to bring the might of Thor to light night television, the 30-year-old Avengers star has less success impressing young fans at the airport.

"I was at the airport actually, a couple of weeks ago, and this little kid was dressed up in the full Thor outfit and he was running around breaking things and his mother grabs him and says, 'Look, look. It's Thor, it's the real Thor.' He turns around and goes, 'Ehhhh, no its not.'" Hemsworth recalled. "Without the wig and the outfit, I'm nothing."

Thor: The Dark World opens on Nov. 8.
