Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's publicist revealed that she hadn't confirmed for director P. Vasu's film about a Kalari fighter, which has been doing the rounds in the press as one of her comeback films.

Recently directer P. Vasu announced that Bachchan would be playing the lead role of a Kalari fighter in Aishwaryavum Aayiram Kaakakkalum  -- Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi ----- a multinigual film.

In a statement the director had suggested that the Bollywood star was "really impressed" by the script and fans will be in for a bit of a surprise seeing her in this unique mold. "She will be seen in a never seen before powerful role. She will essay a Kalari fighter in the film and for the same she will undergo special stunt training," he said.

But it seems like Bachchan hasn't given her thumbs up yet. The actress' PR clarified that she hadn't agreed to do the film.

"This statement is in reference to the press release/ rumoured attachment of Ms Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Mr P Vasu's film which has been doing the rounds very strongly today in the media and the industry," the statement read. "With due respect to all the professionals concerned, I would like to state that this was one among the several scripts/ ideas she has been approached for but there have been no confirmations at all. This 'press release' came as a huge surprise to all of us... An email clarifying this erroneous 'press release' has already been received by our office from the concerned parties."

Aishwarya's Baby Aaradhya Conflicting With New Projects?

The project seems to be an ambitious one as the director also suggested that they would be bringing in some of the best visual effects professionals from other parts of the world and the film would be shot in various locations in India and abroad.

"Major visual effects companies are being considered. Animatronics experts from France are being hired for the visual effects in the film, which will be shot in exotic locales of North Indian and some important portions in Cambodia," Vasu said in the press release.

The film will be produced by K. Ramesh of Global One Studios.
