Will There Be Humor in 'Batman v Superman'?

Warner Bros. released the synopsis on Tuesday, revealing the big picture theme of the highly anticipated blockbuster.

"Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before," the synopsis reads.

Lex Luthor Might Wear Iconic Warsuit In 'Batman v Superman'

This conflict was shown in the teaser trailer, with Metropolis still recovering from the events at the end of Man of Steel.

As for the "greater danger" part of the synopsis, could this be a reference to Lex Luthor, who is set to be a main villain in the film? Or is it another threat entirely?

Stars of Batman v Superman include Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth.

Jason Momoa and Ray Fisher are also expected to make cameo appearances in the film, playing Aquaman and Cyborg, respectively.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
