Justin Timberlake Talks Kanye West 'Suit & Tie' Diss on 'SNL' & with Jimmy Fallon, VIDEO
Justin Timberlake hosted Saturday Night Live on March 9 and in his musical performance he reportedly mocked the talked about diss Kanye West made about the pop singer's song Suit & Tie.
During a February performance in London, West said, "I got love for Hov [Jay-Z] but I ain't f**king with that Suit & Tie."
While performing the song on SNL, Timberlake switched up its lyrics and instead of singing "S--t so sick got a hit and picked up a habit," he sang, "My hit's so sick got rappers acting dramatic."
Timberlake addressed the change in lyrics during his guest appearance Monday on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The show's host asked Timberlake, "For 'Saturday Night Live,' it felt like to me you changed one of the lyrics in Suit & Tie."
"Did it seem that way?" Timberlake asked, sarcastically.
"I don't remember that... Did I change a line? It is live. You know, really, everyone, keep calm," Timberlake added, to which Fallon responded, "Keep calm, and Kanye on."
Following Fallon's mention of the rapper, Timberlake said to the audience, "Let me just, for the record... I absolutely love Kanye. So there's that. We love Kanye, right?"
While on Jimmy Fallon Timberlake also performed his new song Pusher Love Girl, a track off of his upcoming album The 20/20 Experience.
His film album in seven years, Experience is now streaming on iTunes one week ahead of its official March 19 release date. His last album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, came out in 2006 and sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. Timberlake said on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards this year that he will join forces with another artist for a U.S. tour this year and the New York Post reported that it will be his Suit & Tie collaborator Jay-Z.
"We're definitely going to go on tour," Timberlake said. "I don't know how much I should say...It's going to be a lot of fun, I know that."
