Dancing with the Stars season 16 premiered Monday night on ABC and all the 12 competitors took to the ballroom dance floor to perform a Fox trot, Cha Cha or contemporary routine.

Kellie Pickler took to the stage first and with her partner Derek Hough, they scored 21 out of 30 for their Cha Cha to a cover of Jessie J's Domino.

Shake It Up! television star Zendaya Coleman and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy danced a contemporary routine and scored the highest of the night: 24 out of 30. Coleman is the youngest celebrity ever to compete in the show.

Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, one of the athletes competing in season 16 of DWTS, and her partner Mark Ballas took to the dance floor with a Fox trot to the One Direction tune Live While We're Young. They scored 21 out of 30.

Wynonna Judd talked about her husband's accident and how she has been spending most of her time recently caring for him. Doing something fun for herself was a big deal and on Monday she and her partner, reigning champion Tony Dovolani, performed a Cha Cha. They scored 18 out of 30.

General Hospital actor Ingo Rademacher and his partner Kym Johnson danced a contemporary routine Monday night and scored 20 out of 30.

Victor Ortiz and his partner Lindsay Arnold performed a Fox trot that scored 18 out of 30.

Lisa Vanderpump and Gleb Savchenko scored 18 out of 30 for their Fox trot. The new season of DWTS features two new dance styles - contemporary and jazz - and three new professional dance partners: Arnold, Sharna Burgess & Savchenko.

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones spent most of the latest rehearsals for DWTS watching his partner Karina Smirnoff because of a knee surgery. But the duo danced a Cha Cha on Monday that scored them 20 out of 30.

Andy Dick had a meltdown during rehearsals when he could not get a dance move right. He called the entire DWTS experience very therapeutic and with his partner, Burgess, they danced a Fox trot that totaled 17 out of 30 from the judges.

The Bachelor star Sean Lowe and his partner Peta Murgatroyd, season 14 champion, scored 19 out of 30 for their Fox trot.

Comedian D.L. Hughley and Cheryl Burke performed a Cha Cha routine that scored 12 out of 30.

The season's first elimination episode airs Tuesday, March 26. Monday's premiere was two hours long, from 8- 10 p.m. Eastern Time.
