Thor: The Dark World continues to increase in hype just days after its theatrical trailer's release.

Jaimie Alexander, who plays the role of Sif, recently graced the red carpet with her presence and had an opportunity to talk about Marvel's future blockbuster flick.

Alexander spoke to Bleeding Cool about the upcoming love triangle that's set to transpire between her character and Jane (Natalie Portman), who are both vying for Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) affection. She said the following:

"If you've seen the trailer I think you have sort of maybe a gut instinct that there's a bit of a love triangle between Sif, Thor, and Jane, but also you get see Sif pretty much sacrifice everything in her world to save the ones that she loves, and even the ones that she doesn't love, but say the one that loves the guy that she loves. So she puts it all on the line."

Alexander, who actually has aspirations to play Wonder Woman, also spoke to IGN on April 26 about the threat that Jane poses to Sif. Love quarrel aside, the 29-year-old actress explained that Sif is also extremely territorial over the safety of the Asgardians.

"You know, we're bringing someone from another realm into our realm who technically shouldn't be able to survive there. So I think she's really, more than seeing Jane as a threat to her people," she said.

Alexander explained that Sif is "very protective" of her fellow Asgardians and the throne, so she's quite suspicious of Jane.

"But she really, really loves Thor - as a comrade, as a warrior and as the future king of Asgard - but also as a man," Alexander added.

Thor: The Dark World is set to make its debut on the big screen on Nov. 8. Keep checking back for more details on the future superhero movie. The official trailer can be viewed below.
