After preparing for her role as a teenager yearning to live the high-life of Hollywood celebrities, Emma Watson recently spoke about the keen difference between actors and celebrities on television.

The actress said being a celebrity is a full-time job, adding that she watched American reality television before acting in her upcoming film The Bling Ring, United Kingdom's The Telegraph reported. She talked about London’s obsession with Hollywood and said that her view of acting is different than typical Hollywood stars.

"I think there are celebrities who create a brand and create a business and a whole job, a whole life, out of other people's interest in their lives," Watson said in a press conference in at the Cannes Film Festival, according to the report.

She added that it is important for people to understand the difference between the craft of acting and representing the brand of a Hollywood name

"It's become a weird job description in itself; it's totally a full time job if you're wanting to make appearances, creating that brand," she told The Guardian. "I just think reality tv is another way of telling a story really. It's a different type of acting.”

The Bling Ring was screened in Cannes last week and is set for release in the U.S. on June 14.
