Angelina Jolie has remained steadfast in her belief there is no romantic angle between Marion Cotillard and ex-husband Bradd Pitt. Jolie also denied Cotillard is the reason behind their break-up, despite persistent rumors pointing to the supposed Cotillard-Pitt affair as the culprit.

Jolie is still reportedly mad about the Cotillard-Pitt affair according to some online sites. This was repeatedly denied in public by both Cotillard and Pitt.

Those closely examining the fake reports about Jolie's beef with Cotillard pointed out the use of suspicious data like the age of Cotillard. In a real conversation, no one casually mentions the age of an individual as what HollywoodLies did, according to Gossip Cop.

Some discredited sites have become confused about their stories they forgot the original fabricated story that said Jolie left Pitt because he was cheating with Cotillard. These sites also seem to have difficulty in using the same name for Jolie as they sometimes use Angie or even Angelina in the same article.

HollywoodLife was once again caught peddling lies and fake news stories about Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and Cotillard to drive traffic to their site. Gossip Cop said it was able to get confirmation from the actors themselves that the break-up was caused not by Cotillard, but by Jolie and Pitt's plane fight.

Cotillard herself posted a long comment on Instagram denying the persistent rumor linking her to Pitt, immediately after the actor's break-up with Angelina Jolie. At that time, Cotillard was pregnant with her second child with Guillaume Canet, who has been her partner for nine years, according to Daily Mail.

"I also don't usually talk about my private life, which until now I've always protected attentively," Canet said in an Instagram post. "But the fury of the tabloids, the venal stupidity of some people calling themselves journalists, the haters who feel braver behind a keyboard, drive me to speak of the pride, love, respect and admiration I have for Marion staying as strong and intelligent in the face all these stupid and unfounded accusations," he added.
