David Foster had no bad things to say about Yolanda Hadid during an interview earlier this week.

While the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star took aim at Foster for being unsupportive of her Lyme disease struggles during their marriage in her new book, Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease, Foster steered clear of a war of words with his ex-wife while chatting with Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, September 19.

“We just always did our best,” he said about living with Hadid’s Lyme disease during their four-year marriage.

Foster's interview took place during the GRAMMY Museum’s third annual gala at The Novo in Los Angeles, California.

“We had some other issues as well, but everybody’s in a good place now. The main thing is that she’s healthy and in remission. She worked really hard at it and now she’s reaping the rewards of that,” he said.

Foster and Hadid tied the knot in November 2011 and called it quits in December 2015. Around the same time, Hadid embarked on her final season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills before quitting her role on the series the following year.

In the former reality star's new book, Believe Me: My Battle With the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease, Hadid said that her struggles with Lyme disease led to a divide between her and the very busy Foster and ultimately led to the end of their relationship.

“I haven’t read the book,” Foster continued to Entertainment Tonight. “But she seems to be doing great. She’s healthy and living back east and happy and her kids are doing great, so it’s good.”
