The 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show has finally aired on CBS on Tuesday, Nov. 28. However, the models selected this year actually walked on the runway on Nov. 20 in Shanghai, China.

Several Victoria's Secret Angels who have also walked for the prestigious fashion show in the past returned this year. Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Candice Swanepoel were just some of the usual favorites.

Bella Hadid, who debuted as a Victoria's Secret Angel last year, also returned to the show this year. However, her best friend, Kendall Jenner, did not make it because she has an ongoing partnership with Victoria's Secret's rival lingerie brand, La Perla.

Gigi Hadid Denied A Visa To China

Hadid's sister, Gigi Hadid, was supposed to take part in last week's show, but she was pulled out at the last minute. Later on, reports claimed that she was denied a visa into the country. Even though Gigi didn't make it at this year's fashion show, the 22-year-old is already training for next year's fashion show.

There were also a handful of newcomers who had the chance to wear their angel wings this year. Grace Bol, Victoria Lee, Estelle Chen, and Xin Xie all wore expensive lingerie at the successful event.

Several singers also serenaded the models as they strutted on the runway. Harry Styles, Miguel, Jane Zhang and Leslie Odom Jr. were all present.

Alessandra Ambrosio Confirms Retirement

Meanwhile, even though the event was a joyful one for the models, guests and brand ambassadors, it wasn't entirely the case for Ambrosio. The 36-year-old supermodel announced her retirement from the fashion show after walking on the runway for one last time.

"Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have been working for this amazing brand that inspires me and women all over the world," the supermodel wrote on her Facebook account.

In total, Ambrosio has graced a total of 17 Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows.

Ming Xi's Controversial Fall

In other news, this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show also made headlines due to Chinese supermodel Ming Xi. The 28-year-old slipped and fell during the live show. There were initial speculations suggesting that CBS might edit out the model's fall, but the network didn't.

The Chinese supermodel walked on the runway and was welcomed by loud cheers and applause from the crowd. However, her heels got caught in her skirt and she fell down. Fellow Victoria's Secret angel, Gizele Oliveira, offered her a hand. She finally got to her feet and completed her walk with a huge smile on her face.
