Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway have been chosen to present the honor for Best Picture again at the Academy Awards this Sunday, March 4.

Beatty And Dunaway To Return As Presenters

The pair, who famously botched last year's Best Picture announcement, will return this year to announce the winner of the same category despite their goof-up last year.

According to TMZ, Beatty and Dunaway were rehearsing their lines at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, where the 90th Academy Awards are going to be held on Sunday night.

An insider told the website that the actor and actress quickly did a run through of their part, with Dunaway taking the lead.

"Presenting is better the second time around," she said, before Beatty took over, "The winner is Gone with the Wind." The source also noted that the writing team is still working on their lines.

This year's nominees for the Best Picture category include Call Me by Your Name, Darkest Hour, Dunkirk, The Post, The Shape of Water, Get Out, Lady Bird, Phantom Thread, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

Envelopegate

Beatty and Dunaway could use the extra practice after their infamous gaffe at the Academy Awards last year, which became known as Envelopegate.

The duo announced the wrong winner of the prestigious Best Picture award toward the end of last year's ceremony. They announced La La Land as the winner of the honor, when, in fact, Moonlight was the actual winner of the award.

Who Was Responsible For The Mix-Up?

It was later revealed that Beatty was given the incorrect envelope. His envelope read, "Emma Stone, La La Land," which was intended for the Best Actress category.

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the accounting firm that handles the tabulation of the votes, claimed responsibility for the mix-up and issued an official apology.

"The presenters had mistakenly been given the wrong category envelope and when discovered, was immediately corrected," PWC said in its statement.

Brian Cullinan, an accountant employed with PwC was later blamed for the blunder, reportedly because he was busy live-tweeting the ceremony from backstage.

Now, in order to make sure the mistake is not repeated, the academy has banned PwC accountants who are in charge of the envelopes from using their cellphones or social media during the ceremony. Many other reforms have been implemented, including the addition of a third balloting partner in the show's control room.
