Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated their engagement anniversary with some never-before-seen photos. What is even special is that the photos captured the two candid and happy together.

The royal couple, who welcomed their first child Prince Archie in May, celebrated the happy occasion by sharing candid photos of them looking happy as ever. This milestone in their relationship is a reminder of the two of them getting stronger together.

The three pictures they shared each marked important moments in their relationship.

The Evolution In The Life of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex posted three photos on their official instagram page. The photos mark the evolution of their union, each one represented a significant milestone for the couple.

The first one was a snap taken during the announcement of their engagement on Nov. 27, 2017, exactly two years ago. The second one is a black and white photo taken during their wedding celebration. Finally, the third one was a shot of their public debut as a small family of three.

The wedding portrait was particularly candid. Photographer, Chris Allerton, captured a moment between the couple following their solemn, fairy tale wedding ceremony at the St. George's Chapel in the Windsor Castle.

The couple was wrapped in each other's arms. Meghan looked extremely happy in the photo with that big smile on her face.

The post was captioned: "On this day, two years ago, 27th November 2017, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the news of their engagement."

The royal couple has chosen to do their engagement shoot in the Sunken Gardens, one of the favorite places of the late Princess Diana, Prince Harry's mother.

When Prince Harry was asked how he felt at the time of the shoot, he replied "thrilled." He was particularly glad that it was not raining at that time, too. Meghan, on the other hand, expressed how happy she was during the shoot.

When Harry was asked when he knew that Meghan was the one for him, Harry answered with a big smile on his face, "The very first time we met."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Future Plans

Harry, 35, and Meghan, 38, are currently on leave from their royal duties as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The two, along with their son, Archie, are set to celebrate Thanksgiving with Meghan's mother -- although there are conflicting reports where they will actually celebrate it.

The royal couple will be out for six weeks towards the end of the year amidst the intense scrutiny they have been receiving from the U.K. press.

The last two years have been tough for the new parents, Harry and Meghan. The exclusive documentary about their trip to Africa became the talk of the town, particularly the revelations they made about how tough royal life has been.

A royal source confirmed to People that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be taking the time off for a much needed break and family time.

The two, according to reports, will be skipping this years' Christmas celebration at the Sandringham Palace, including the public walk to the church on Christmas morning with Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family.

According to the statement from Buckingham Palace, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with Prince Archie will spend this year's holidays as a new family with the Duchess' mother, Doria Ragland. The decision has the support and the blessing of her royal highness Queen Elizabeth II.
