The Time Traveler's Wife is being adapted to series by HBO and we are HERE for it!!!

In 2009, the best selling novel The Time Traveler's Wife was adapted into a film. The movie is fondly remembered by many; it stared talented powerhouses including Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana.

Now, however, according to an article on BuzzFeed, HBO will be adapting this book to a television series. They have released some super exciting first look photos to prove it!

Often times, when a book that was a movie is adapted into a television show, it is because the movie was met with lackluster reviews. Such is the case with the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Yet, this is not the case with The Time Traveler's WifeSteve Moffat, who is adapting the novel for television, pointed to the ability to delve deeper into the story as the logic behind creating the series.

According to Deadline, he said:

"We can tell the whole story, the movie was a quite intelligently abbreviated version but abbreviating it you miss all the detail and complexity and make it all about the time travel and not about the love story."

We can't wait to see all of the amazing detail and nuance in this upcoming series.

The Time Traveler's Wife series will star Rose Leslie of Game of Thrones and Theo James of the Divergent series.. As we resist the urge to look at Rose Leslie and repeat, "You know nothing, John Snow," we continue to get more and more excited to see these two take on such dynamic and interesting roles.

The Time Traveler's Wife is set to come out this spring on HBO.
