Did Carole Baskin kill her missing husband, Don Lewis?

Recently, Brooklyn Charles track "Savage: Tiger King Edition" went viral as its lyrics suggested that Baskin killed her husband and fed his body to her tigers.

Now, the 60-year-old "Tiger King" star joined the trend responded to it in the most epic way by appearing in a pair of viral TikTok videos that play the song. Both clips have more than 3 million views as of press time.

Baskin appeared with two women in the clips as they performed a choreography while laughing and cutting the music as the rapper said, "Carole Baskin/ killed her husband/ whacked him."

The Big Cat Rescue CEO then mouthed "No, I didn't" to dismiss the song's claims.

It was not the first time the public heard the song, though.

More than a year ago, Merkules uploaded the official video of him singing to his song, "Carole Killed Her Husband (Joe Exotic Remix)" on his YouTube channel. The hit song made its way to TikTok, and recently became one of the most viral and most used music on the platform.

"I got bored as f*** in self-isolation & quarantine and my wifey and I crushed every episode of Tiger King in one sitting. I became obsessed to the point I was looking up people from the show on Facebook. It got so bad and I got so bored that this happened. Carole killed her husband," he wrote.

The song's lyrics suggest that Baskin "wacked and killed" her husband, Don Lewis, who has been missing since 1997. A part of it even says the activist fed him to tigers and disposed the remaining parts of his body.

Where is Don Lewis?

In the past years, different theories surrounding Lewis' death emerged.

A new witness came out in February suggesting that his former handyman, Kenny Farr, killed him before his disappearance on Aug. 18, 1997.

Despite the new witness' explosive statement, the Florida prosecutors reportedly refused to pursue the murder case. As a result, Lewis' daughter expressed her rage over the development.

"I am shocked that the state attorney's office is unwilling to pursue this. What this witness knows is explosive," Donna Pettis said. "There is enough circumstantial evidence alone without the new witness' statement for them to at least convene a grand jury. I'm extremely upset."

According to the witness, they told detectives -- about a year after Lewis was reported missing that - his handyman arrived at a camping trip and drunkenly told them that he got rid of his body using a wood chipper.
