It's been almost a decade since Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart broke up, but new details behind their relationship emerge as "Twilight" co-star Ashley Greene revealed a shocking thing, saying something was hindering their connection.

Speaking to the latest episode of her podcast called "The Twilight Effect" with Kast Media, the actress, who starred as Alice Cullen in all "Twilight" movies, said the studio was not happy about the couple's relationship back when they were filming the franchise.

The reason why the studio wasn't in favor of their connection was the last thing they wanted for them was to "get together and then hate each other and then the chemistry to be gone." (via Insider)

Greene said she got the point, but she also defended their feelings, saying they were put in situations where it's a love story, and it's hard not to fall for their co-actors.

According to Mirror UK, dating rumors between the co-actors started circulating in November 2008 after a photo shoot and interview with Vanity Fair went viral.

The following years after that, the couple has denied any questions from the media about their relationship, especially Kristen Stewart, who lashed off at reporters, saying she's tired of people asking about their connection.

In 2011, the "Spencer" actress admitted they're officially dating, saying her boyfriend is "English."

However, their relationship wasn't perfect as there was an infidelity issue on the actress' end when she was photographed being intimate with film director Rupert Sanders. A few days later, Stewart was spotted with Pattinson.

Fans were shocked upon knowing the actress' relationship with the married "Snow White And The Huntsmen" director.

Sources at the time revealed that Stewart was "absolutely devastated," and it was a "mistake" for her.

A few days after Sanders' wife, model Liberty Ross, tweeted "wow" before deactivating her account, Stewart issued a statement, apologizing to Pattinson and called the circulated photos a "momentary indiscretion."
