According to a royal source, Queen Elizabeth will no longer attend occasions alone and will always be accompanied by a member of the Royal Family.

Because of the series of health issues she had been experiencing, the public is reportedly told to expect the worst, meaning the Queen is not going to make any appearance by default, unless something compels her to.

Buckingham Palace has been forced to issue a succession of last-minute announcements regarding the Queen's absence from a number of royal events in recent months. However, as part of a new tactic, royal aides will now confirm the Queen's attendance only on the day of the event, with "the expectation" being that she will not attend.

This follows a series of health setbacks for the Queen. In her absence, Prince Charles attended the service.

In February, during an audience with new Defence Services Secretary Major General Eldon Millar at Windsor Castle, the Queen admitted to having certain mobility concerns.

In a videotape from the meeting, the Queen is heard remarking, "Well, as you can see, I can't move", gesturing to her leg.

The Queen made her first public appearance in months after Prince Philip's death, where she was observed strolling with a walking stick.

If Her Majesty does attend, she will be escorted by another member of the Royal Family."

The measure will emphasize Prince Charles' role in assisting the Queen even more.

According to royal expert Robert Jobson, the mother and son are currently operating as a "dual monarchy."

"The Prince of Wales has been doing it for some time," the source added.

However, the 95-year-old monarch did not slow down then. Even during the pandemic, she was working. She continued to carry out regular duties since with many of them taking place virtually.

However, a royal source told the Daily Mail that when it comes to public engagements, "the expectation must now be that the Queen will not be present." This is understandable, if not expected.

Even with her declining health, there is no shortage of drama surrounding her. The latest being her grandson Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's UK visit. Given what transpired while the two are in the country, many said they are merely using the Queen for clout. In effect, they could be toying with Queen Elizabeth's and even Prince Charles' emotions, say some insiders.
