Machine Gun Kelly spoke candidly about the time he attempted to claim his own life while on the phone with Megan Fox, who was in Bulgaria at that time.

MGK endured the most devastating heartbreak when his father died in July 2020. The loss also caused him distress that led him to attempt suicide while talking to his fiancé, who eventually made him realize that something was not right with how he was feeling.

His new Hulu documentary "Life in Pink" shared further details about the incident, with the 32-year-old singer noting that he would not leave the room as he kept getting paranoid that someone was going to kill him.

He was triggered when a neighbor told him things he did not want to hear while was clearing stuff out of his father's apartment.

So when he talked to Fox, he reportedly snapped and told her she was not there for him. From there, he put the shotgun in his mouth and yelled on the phone.

"Dude, I put the shotgun in my mouth. And I'm yelling on the phone and, like, the barrel's in my mouth. And I go to cock the shotgun and the bullet, as it comes back up, the shell just gets jammed. Megan's, like, dead silent," he said, as quoted by Us Weekly.

Fox was in Bulgaria to shoot a movie, but she and 12-year-old Cassie helped him get through it by kicking the drugs for real. That way, the daughter would see him as a father and Megan see him as her future husband.

Machine Gun Kelly Struggled For a Long Time

It was not the first time MGK opened up about his ups and downs.

In 2020, he sat for an interview with Interview Magazine and revealed that he was seeking therapy at the time of the discussion.

"I'm taking steps. I had my first therapy session last Thursday. That's the first time I ever went, 'Hey, I need to separate these two people,' which is Machine Gun Kelly and Colson Baker. The dichotomy is too intense for me,'" he said.

Despite that, Fox purportedly saved him from everything and became his sun. MGK spoke highly of the actress in his new documentary and called their relationship a fairytale no one told people about in school.

MGK and Fox confirmed their relationship in July 2020 before getting engaged this year. They infamously sealed their union by drinking each other's blood.
