Marvel may be planning on rebooting two popular comic book characters: Daredevil and The Punisher.

Marvel president of production Kevin Feige told Bleeding Cool magazine recently that the two characters were in the mix for movie reboots. The new movies would be reboots of 2003's Daredevil, starring Ben Affleck as the titular character, and 2004's The Punisher, starring Thomas Jane.

"We're trying to figure out what to do with Daredevil now," Feige revealed. "Punisher could show up at one point."

Despite Feige's comments, fans of the two characters shouldn't expect films right away. "You know, once we get characters back into the Marvel fold we don't want to do something right away, we want to do the smart thing at the smart time," he explained.

Fans of Daredevil will probably not find Affleck donning the red suit again for the reboot. The leading man is currently slated to play Batman in the highly anticipated Man of Steel sequel, also known as Batman vs. Superman.

Now that Marvel has taken the film industry by storm with their wildly successful Cinematic Universe that includes The Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America and Thor, the reboots of Daredevil and The Punisher would likely be more successful than their predecessors.

Marvel currently has several movies lined up throughout the decade, including The Avengers: Age of Ultron, sequels to Captain America and Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man and more. This means that the Daredevil and Punisher movies may not see the light of day for a long time.
