The official title of the fifth installment in the Terminator series may have been revealed on Dec. 7 by Production Weekly.

The publication posted a tweet announcing production office information for "Alan Taylor's Terminator: Genesis," alongside news for the indie film Lila & Eve:

"Added prod. office info for Alan Taylor's TERMINATOR: GENESIS and the indie LILA & EVE starring Viola Davis & @JLo https://wp.me/p3HeyQ-1Nu"

The tweet also seemed to confirm that Game of Thrones and Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor is directing the upcoming film.

Taylor has been rumored to be the director of the film for a while, but he has not confirmed the news and chosen to keep the suspense going. In an interview with Slashfilm, he hinted that he was the director for the film but reasoned why he wouldn't confirm the news.

"I'm under the personal policy to say it's a rumor. Funny thing was it came out really early, a reminder of what the blogosphere can do. I had one conversation, didn't tell anyone and then all of a sudden, BOOM! It was on line the next day," he said. "So my agent said, "you probably should know [this is gonna come up]." But its progressed a lot since then, but I'm still officially going to call it a rumor."

Terminator 5 Inspired by Christopher Nolan & Tim Burton's Batman? Rumored Director Disses Joel Schumacher's Batman?

Currently, all that is known about the film is that Arnold Schwarzenneger will be returning in the role of a human being with super powers who is tasked with protecting Sarah Connor and her family. It was recently revealed that Brie Larson and Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) were in the running for the role of Sarah in the film. Tom Hardy is being considered for the role of John Connor.
