Cybill Shepherd Engaged for Third Time Cybill Shepherd is engaged for a third time to Andrei Nikolajevic. The actress unintentionally let the news out in a short interview published on Monday with the New York Daily News.
In the interview the mother of three explained, "(The proposal was) very romantic and on one knee."
The 62-year-old also admitted, "I never thought I'd get married again."
The delighted Shepherd showed off a large sparkling ring set in white gold on her left hand. She will marry finance Andrei Nikolajevic, a Serbian jeweler-turned-psychologist.
Shepherd was previously married to David Ford and Bruce Oppenheim, but has been single for more than two decades now since 1990. She has acted in a slew of famous roles, including as Jacy in "The Last Picture Show," and Betsy in "Taxi Driver."
Other famous roles Shepherd has taken on include Madeleine Spencer in "Psych," Maddie Hayes in "Moonlighting," Cybill Sheridan in "Cybill," and Phylliss Kroll in "The L Word."
Shepherd has been a strong advocate for gay rights and abortion rights throughout her career. She has also expressed her attraction to lesbianism, and claimed that "most people are bisexual."
The actress has also described herself as a "goddess-worshipping Christian Pagan Buddhist." Other claims she has made include dating the King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley in the early 1970s, as well as canceling a date with Jack Nicholson, and turning Robert De Niro down flat when he asked her out as they worked on the film "Taxi Driver" together.
Shepherd and Nikolajevic reportedly met through friends.
