With a resurgence of interest in O.J. Simpson this year, ABC is airing the first episode of the highly acclaimed new docuseries O.J.: Made in America Saturday night.

America has become fascinated with the story of Simpson yet again, as this year's critical and ratings hit The People v. O.J. Simpson showed. Now, a new docuseries called O.J.: Made in America tells the story of the infamous football star turned accused murderer over the course of 7.5 hours.

O.J.: Made in America, which was directed by Ezra Edelman, debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in January to rave reviews.

"Edelman proves to be a remarkably confident storyteller on every front," says The Hollywood Reporter. "O.J.: Made in America is a provocative, intelligent and thorough documentary that tears along at an impressive clip given its length, with tragedy around every corner."

"Made in America is filled with electric moments, like [Barry] Scheck waffling about whether he actually believed his own arguments, O.J.'s former manager Mike Gilbert claiming he told O.J. before the courtroom glove scene that not taking his arthritis medicine would make his hands swell, and defense coordinator Carl Douglas exulting in changing the racial makeup of the photographs at O.J.'s Brentwood house to impress the largely black jury," says the Los Angeles Times in their review.

ABC will be airing the first episode of O.J.: Made in America on Saturday, with ESPN airing subsequent episodes respectively on June 14, 15, 17 and 18. The docuseries is part of ESPN's famous 30 for 30 series.

O.J.: Made in America debuts at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
