A deadly storm wreaked havoc in Southern California as it left at least five people dead and many properties damaged. It has eased over the weekend but residents of Northern California have been warned of more flooding ahead as snow, wind and rain are expected.

The National Weather Service (NWS) said the anomalous wet pattern, including winds of up to 70 miles per hour, has placed the state under a flood watch. After last Saturday's reprieve from the deadly storm, forecasters said the Golden State will most likely be hit by another round of storm. People in the north can also expect another round of flooding, avalanches, and mudslides.

"Northern California is likely to be slammed again as it appears the heaviest rain from the storms will target the region at the start of next week," Brett Anderson, senior meteorologist of AccuWeather, said.

NWS said last week's deadly storm could be one of the strongest to hit Southern California since 1995, according to USA Today. Long stretch rail trips to the southern and central coast have already been cancelled by Amtrak, while over 300 flights to and from the Los Angeles International Airport have either been delayed or cancelled.

Two cars along Studio City have been swallowed by a sinkhole, while a driver along the section of Sherman Oaks was electrocuted after strong winds and rain downed power lines along the area. Luckily, no person was injured in the deadly storm incident.

The state has been struggling with drought in the past years, and the prediction of rain ranging from four to six inches as a result of the deadly storm has caught the residents by surprise. Ireland Baldwin and other celebrities have been very active in the social media, posting images of trees that have fallen in their yards, according to People.

Baldwin is stuck for the weekend as she could not leave her house because of a tree that has fallen in the driveway. She took to her Instagram and informed her friends about her situation, and how the deadly storm has been keeping her away from her appointments.
