Ever since the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco in 2016, Samsung has been treading lightly when it comes to matters of the Note 7 and its successors. There was a rumor suggesting that the tech giant might reconsider the Note lineup and stop it completely after its customers lost confidence in them. However, that did not stop fans from speculating that a new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 might come out in 2017.

Samsung ever since has been trying its very best to come up with marketing strategies to fuel its Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge sales. Now, it seems like the reigning king of phablets is coming back to dominate the markets in 2017. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 news and rumors suggest that the phone company is going to unveil the new phablet by April 2017.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is codenamed "Baikal" by the South Korean tech giant. The phone would be coming with a curved infinity display with gorilla glass protection. The phone would also come with a massive 256-gigabyte storage option and might be having a microSD card slot.

Other Samsung Galaxy Note 8 rumors suggest that the phone will be VR capable and would provide an immersive VR experience with its 4K display. Under the hood, the phone would be powered by a top of the line Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with a massive 6 gigabyte of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 updates the camera module to a dual lens camera, with one of the lens being a wide angle like the LG G5. It would also have an IP68 certification, which means it would be dust and water resistant.

The phone would be coming with Samsung's own digital assistant called Bixby, which will be present in the upcoming flagships. Just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would also have an iris scanner.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 rumors also suggest that the S Pen might get updated, and might come with speakers. The screen size would be a massive 6.2-inch and a bezel-less design.

PhoneArena reports that the handset might be coming anytime after 20th April, after it has been showcased at the end of March. Stay tuned for more Samsung Galaxy Note 8 news and updates.
