The war of words between Scott Baio and Nicole Eggert may finally boil over in court. Eggert reportedly decides to move forward with her allegations against Baio and officially filed a police report.

According to Eggert's attorney, Lisa Bloom, Eggert met with the LAPD on Tuesday, Feb. 6 and is now looking into the actress' allegations.

"Today Nicole Eggert and I met with two police detectives from the sexual assault unit at my law firm. Nicole answered all of their questions and told her story of sexual abuse by Scott Baio when she was a minor," Bloom stated.

Bloom continued that the LAPD was very interested in the Baywatch actress' story and more witnesses have come forward to corroborate with Eggert's story.

On the other hand, Baio wasted no time in responding to the news of Eggert going to the police with her story.

"We've been demanding since last year that Nicole Eggert bring her story to the authorities. It's good that she finally has, even if it's part of a publicity campaign. Perhaps she can explain to them her ever-changing story," Baio's rep stated

Recently, the two former costars have been engaged in a battle of "he said, she said" since Eggert resurrected her allegations against Baio on her Twitter account. The actress responded to another user's post about Baio's questionable loyalty to President Trump and continued talking about the alleged molestation that occurred while the two were on set together.

Eggert then visited the Megyn Kelly Today show where she elaborated that Baio abused her starting when she was only 14 until she turned 17 and others on set were aware of the inappropriate behavior.

Baio responded to Eggert's claims during an interview with Good Morning America where the actor slammed Eggert's allegations. The actor stated that it would've been impossible to even conduct such behavior as there were too many chaperons on set. Baio further stated that Eggert's story changed since drastically over the years and there were too many inconsistency in what she claimed happened.

Baio and Eggert did briefly date after the show ended, however Baio stated that Eggert was of age at the time. The two actors have exchanged bitter words to each other since the allegations made headlines. Baio challenged Eggert to go to the police with her story and Eggert in return told Baio to come clean for his daughter's sake.

Baio and Eggert starred in the popular 1980's sitcom Charles in Charge. Baio portrayed the lead character Charles while Eggert portrayed Jamie Powell.
