Kristen Doute and Jax Taylor have a complicated history with one another, but when it comes down to it, they have each other's backs.

During a new interview, Doute, who is currently dating Vanderpump Rules co-star Brian Carter, opened up about how she offered her support to Taylor following the passing of his father, Ronald Cauchi, who died in December of last year after a battle with cancer.

"Even though sometimes I want to rip Jax’s hair out, when his father passed away, I was there for him straight away," Doute told Taylor magazine. "I flew to Michigan to be with him and be with his family. He’s family."

Taylor and his girlfriend, Brittany Cartwright, flew to Michigan from Kentucky after learning Taylor's father had passed away. As fans may recall, Taylor and Cartwright had been in Kentucky with Cartwright's family to celebrate the Christmas holiday prior to the funeral and also visited a wedding venue around the same time.

After Doute and other Vanderpump Rules stars including Taylor's ex-girlfriend Stassi Schroeder and frequent guest star Rachael O'Brien arrived in Michigan, Taylor thanked them for supporting him during his hard times.

What Makes 'Vanderpump Rules' A Success?

Continuing on in her interview with Taylor magazine, Doute said that what makes Vanderpump Rules such a success is that nothing is scripted. Instead, she and her co-stars are seen in their normal lives with their real relationships. She also said that because everything is so real, it's often a struggle to get back to their lives off-camera.

Vanderpump Rules season 6 is currently airing on Monday nights at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
