Alec and Hilaria Baldwin are another set of famous parents to welcome a new baby this week. Their little bundle of joy arrived on Thursday, May 17.

Welcoming The New Arrival

The happy couple joins Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, who announced the arrival of a baby boy just a day before. The Baldwins have also welcomed a boy, their third son and fourth child overall.

They took to social media to share the happy news with a sweet Instagram post showing the three of them cuddled up in a hospital bed together.

"He's here! He's perfect! 8lbs 2oz," Hilaria captioned the post.

The Baldwins are already parents to three young kids; 20-month-old Leonardo Ángel Charles, 2-year-old Rafael Thomas, and 4-year-old Carmen Gabriela, while Alec also has a 22-year-old daughter, model Ireland Baldwin, from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger. 

Sharing The Journey

Their latest pregnancy announcement was made last November. Over the intervening months, Hilaria has been giving inside looks at her progress to fans, including keeping them up to date with her ongoing fitness routine. 

The super-healthy yoga instructor was not shy about sharing the changes her body was going through.

"I'm completely at peace with the fact that I WILL gain weight, cellulite WILL happen, my body NEEDS fat and rest in order to grow a healthy baby," the 34-year-old fitness fanatic admitted in an Instagram post at the start of this year.

Hilaria also assured fans that she would be focusing on getting back into shape only once the baby was born.

Growing The Family

On expanding their family, the then-mother-of-three told PEOPLE that, although they deliberated, ultimately it seemed like the best thing to do. Their fourth child was the only one they tried and planned to have.

Hilaria considers herself the boss of the household, with her kids even referring to her likewise.

"Alec lets me be the alpha parent, which is definitely our personalities and it works well. ... I'm just very clear about how I want things to be done," she explained.

The couple tied the knot back in 2012. Although Alec has won several awards over the years for his acting career, he considers being a father as his greatest achievement.
