In the wake of a heated on-air dispute about racism that resulted in her suspension and subsequent firing from the US talk show "The Talk," Sharon Osbourne is now decrying the growing rise of cancel culture.

After all, she's been "cancelled" and she suffered firsthand the detrimental effects of this. She now said she had to undergo therapy just to survive that very dark phase of her life.

While serving as a panelist on the CBS show, the outspoken television personality found herself blacklisted in the United States after defending Piers Morgan's right to denounce Meghan Markle during a fiery discussion with co-host Sheryl Underwood. Many touted her as racist and  would not leave her in peace.

Sharon, 69, claims she received death threats as a result of her suspension. She now shared how that the traumatic event led her to seek treatment in an alternative method.

Recalling her expulsion from CBS, she told the Times "They said to me, "You are on permanent suspension. We don't think that you're repentant enough. And we will decide whether you ever come back."

She even asked who would be making the decision as to her potential return and she was told they cannot tell her. She knew it was a sign that she probably won't be allowed back. What hurt her the most was knowing she is not a racist, at all.

'They were saying they were going to come in the night, cut my throat, cut Ozzy's throat, cut my dogs' throats," Osbourne shared. "I just couldn't stop crying because all I was thinking about was all the things that I've gone through in my life, and now they're calling me a racist, this is insanity," she aded.

Sharon was forced to undergo months of ketamine therapy as a result of the event, during which the class B medication was injected to produce dissociative anesthesia, drowsiness, and amnesia.

She shared exactly how this therapy works, too, painting a pretty sad picture of what she had to go through. She shared the drugs induced relaxation, even though one is not out completely. She said she could hear and talk but she was just very, very relaxed.

Sharon Osbourne became a household name on both sides of the Atlantic as a result of the groundbreaking MTV reality series The Osbournes, which provided a behind-the-scenes look at life in the sprawling Beverly Hills mansion she shared with her husband Ozzy, their three children, and a slew of pets.
