Amber Heard was spotted controlling her finances after being ordered to pay Johnny Depp $10.35 million in damages.

Heard chose to be thrifty recently as she still owes Depp $10.35 million — which becomes $8.35 million as she was also awarded $2 million in damages after winning a part of her countersuit.

The "Aquaman" actress then chose not to spend so much by visiting the discount department store, TJ Maxx, instead last week.

New York Post shared photos of Heard in the Hamptons, which were taken on Thursday. Heard, who was only wearing a simple top and jeans during the outing, looked literally broke just like what her lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft said.

For what it's worth, the legal representative revealed to "TODAY' show that Heard would not be able to pay the multi-million damages.

The actress was accompanied by her sister, Whitney Henriquez, who supported her in the defamation trial and testified for her.

It was the first time she opted to go to a thrift store instead since losing the defamation trial, as she was recently spotted climbing down her private plane before riding her luxurious SUV. She seemingly had no choice but to take a private plane as she might definitely encounter the actor's supporters anywhere she goes.

It remains unknown whether she bought something from the store. But being cautious with her finances is her best move right now as she might not be spared from paying the damages.

Nothing has been finalized yet as of press time, and everyone needs to wait until June 24, when Judge Penney Azcarete is expected to issue an instruction with regard to the verdict.

Bankruptcy Cannot Save Amber Heard

Whether she spends her money or not, nothing can save Heard anymore from facing financial struggles.

Los Angeles-based attorney Ronald Richards told Radar Online that filing a bankruptcy would still not be enough to save Heard from paying the actor.

"The award is not dischargeable. Punitive damages are never dischargeable or deductible. Intentional torts like defamation are not dischargeable typically," he said.

Heard and her team are looking into two options now: appeal the judgment or attempt to lower the amount.

For Depp's part, his lawyer Benjamin Chew said that the actor would agree to a settlement where Heard agrees not to file an appeal.

Chew told "Good Morning America" host George Stephanopoulos that the actor would waive the monetary damages if she would not push through with an appeal.
