Britney Spears' son, Jayden Federline, sided with Jamie Spears and left his mother brokenhearted.

Amid the issues between the father and daughter, Jayden sat down for a rare interview with "60 Minutes Australia" (via Access) and said that Jamie only did what was right through the 13-year conservatorship.

Per Jayden, his grandfather cared so much about his mother and only became a father to the singer.

"He was trying to be like any father, like pursue his daughter's dream of being a superstar, working and doing all these concerts and performing. But I think some people are just, like, ceasing to realize how much he cares about her," he said.

The 15-year-old also told ITV that Spears' family members are not bad people despite the public's claims against them.

Spears' son particularly said that the elders want to watch over everyone to ensure they will have the future they want and deserve. He added that they know what they are going through now.

Following the interviews, the "Baby One More Time" hitmaker reacted to her son's statement through an Instagram post. She expressed how sad she felt after hearing those words from her son. Still, she hopes to meet his child soon to talk about the issues openly.

Jayden Missed Britney Spears' Wedding to Sam Asghari

Before Jayden's "60 Minutes Australia" interview, he also talked to The Daily Mail and revealed why he and his brother, Sean Preston, decided not to attend their mother's wedding.

He said that he did not think it was a good time to be with his mother. Still, he revealed he was happy for her.

Unfortunately, his decision was seemingly rooted in the fact that the singer did not invite the whole family. It turned out that Britney only invited his two kids, causing Jayden to think it was a good choice not to attend the ceremony at all.

Spears finally got married to Sam Asghari after years of waiting. They tied the knot on June 9 at their Thousand Oaks home in Los Angeles.

They first met in October 2016 when they collaborated for Spears' "Slumber Party" music video. In the set, Asghari served as her love interest.

After a few months, the singer found Asghari's number in her bag, calling him and eventually developing a romantic relationship. They made their relationship Instagram official in 2017.
