‘Home Alone’ Actor Devin Ratray Pleads Guilty To Domestic Violence After Strangling Ex-Girlfriend
'Home Alone' star Devin Ratray plead guilty to two domestic violence charges on Wednesday after an altercation with his then-girlfriend in December 2021.
Ratray, 47, was charged with domestic assault and battery by strangulation.
His ex-girlfriend, whose identity was not revealed, told police that the two got into an altercation at a bar before she left him to return to the hotel room. According to her, Ratray followed her back to the hotel where the physical squabble occurred.

Joseph Burnett of the Oklahoma Police Department wrote in a report that Ratray pushed the woman onto the bed, pressed one hand against her throat and another hand over her mouth and applied pressure, KFOR-4 reports.
"[The] victim had trouble breathing while she was being strangled and while the defendant's hand was over her mouth," the report stated.
"This is how you die," he said, continuing to choke her, according to the report. After choking her, he reportedly punched her in the face.
The news outlet reported that the woman sustained multiple injuries including a sore right arm, bruised left eye, marks under the right eye, marks above her lip, and a bruise on her chest.
The actor was also accused of raping a woman in his Manhattan apartment in 2017.
CNN reported that after Ratray's domestic violence case, suspected victim Lisa Smith contacted prosecutors asking about the status of a police report she filed and wanted to know why her case hadn't been pursued.
"I remember waking up and I couldn't move. I couldn't really open my eyes, but I could hear what was happening and I could feel what was happening. I knew that the other two people were gone and I was still on the couch," she said.
According to TMZ, the domestic violence case was delayed after the actor was hospitalized in critical condition.
Ratray has not been charged in connection to Smith's 2017 rape allegations.
The New York native is best known for his role of Buzz McCallister in the 'Home Alone' franchise. His television work includes 'The Tick' and 'Better Call Saul.'
