New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been named in a recent lawsuit filed Monday by a former N.Y.P.D. aide who claims he sexually assaulted her in 1993.

Documents state they were both working within the department's transit division when he allegedly demanded she engage in sexual acts in exchange for assisting her with a promotion in which she was previously denied.

The suit alleges that during their professional time together working within the transit division, Adams, 63, used his position within the Guardians Association fraternal order of the police department to proposition her.

The plaintiff is also suing the aforementioned NYPD Transit Bureau as well as the NYPD Guardians Association, per CNN

According to the documents, the plaintiff was allegedly rejected repeatedly on attempts to land a promotion while employed as an administrative aide for the bureau, despite passing promotional exams and being told she was "next in line."

She raised her promotion concerns with Adams, 63, who at the time was a "high-ranking member" at the fraternity organization, during which time the mayor offered to drive her home, claiming they could continue an in-depth discussion regarding the matter.

Adams reportedly did not drive her to her Brooklyn home. Instead, the two allegedly ended up in a "remote, vacant lot" where Adams reportedly asked for oral sex in exchange for his assistance before exposing himself to her, per the suit.

The report also accuses Adams of trying to force her hand to touch his genitals and masturbating in the vehicle. After rejecting his advances, the suit claims the mayor dropped her off at a subway stop and never drove her home.

The mayor denies all claims listed in the lawsuit filing.

"This did not happen. It did not happen. I don't recall ever meeting this person during my time in the police department," he stated when the claims arose back in November.

She's also suing all defendants for gender discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and enabling a crime of gender-motivated violence, per CNN.

Attorney Megan Goddard represents her, saying, "I am proud to file this complaint on behalf of my client, a woman whose strength astonishes me."

"She knew that filing this lawsuit would cause her significant personal challenges but she did so nevertheless, because she believes sexual abusers must be held to account, no matter who they are. Her fearlessness and quest for justice are as inspiring as they are important," Goddard concluded.

CNN says this plaintiff is no stranger to a courtroom. She reportedly wrote her own book on representing yourself in court, explaining that she's had "years spent fighting" from small claims court up to the U.S. Supreme Court.
