Could Justin Bieber be preparing to release new music, or — if fans are super lucky — a whole new album? That's what many followers are hoping!

Earlier this week, after Bieber posted an image of himself standing in a studio with a photo of himself and a pair of headphones in front of him, fans went into a frenzy at the thought of what he may be working on.

“My heart has been ignited by JB5’s excitement,” one fan wrote in the comments section of the photo, according to a Feb. 16 report from Hollywood Life.

Another fan took notice of Bieber's impressive physique, writing, “YOUR BACK IS SO F**KING BEAUTIFUL WHAAAAT.”

Since he canceled several of the remaining dates of his Purpose World Tour in July of last year, Bieber has been keeping a low profile as he focuses on his faith in church and on his new hobby: ice hockey.

“Me taking this time right now is me saying I want to be SUSTAINABLE,” he told fans of his decision to cancel the final legs of his tour. “I want my career to be sustainable but I also want my mind, heart, and soul to be sustainable so that I can be the man I want to be, the husband I eventually want to be and the father I want to be.”

In other Justin Bieber news, the 23-year-old singer may have rediscovered his muse in Selena Gomez. Months ago, following a 10-month relationship between Gomez and The Weeknd, he and the "Bad Liar" singer reunited, and ever since they have seemingly been going strong.

Although Bieber has faced a series of breakup rumors throughout the first few months of their reunion, they continue to be seen together publicly from time to time, and after celebrating the New Year in Mexico last month, they returned to Southern California where they enjoyed a number of romantic dates.

As for Gomez's potentially upcoming music, the singer has prompted rumors of a new album on multiple occasions. However, she doesn't appear to have any solid plans for the potential album's release. Instead, she has released just a few singles in recent months, including "Bad Liar," "Fetish," and "Wolves."

While Gomez did say she was working on a new album in 2016, her plans appear to have been sidelined by her ongoing health struggles.
